Yorbe Vertessen appears to be leaving the Bundesliga after just a year. In the current winter transfer window, although several clubs showed interest in the former PSV player, Red Bull Salzburg is now reportedly set to acquire him. According to Florian Plettenberg, a journalist from Sky Sports Germany, Vertessen is very close to completing a move to Salzburg. He was absent from Union Berlin's training session on Sunday, and the club is open to facilitating his departure. While a loan deal was initially considered, Salzburg intends to purchase him outright, with the transfer fee likely to be around four million euros. PSV is expected to receive a small percentage from this transfer, as Vertessen came through their youth system.
