Phillip Verhounig is set to join Red Bull Salzburg in the summer. The Austrian club revealed that the offensive player is transferring from their partner club FC Liefering and has signed a contract extending until 2027. The transfer was coordinated for the special transfer window preceding the Club World Cup. At FC Liefering, the 19-year-old has contributed to five goals in 14 appearances this season. Furthermore, Verhounig has distinguished himself in the Youth League, where he already represents Salzburg and is currently the top scorer with eight goals.
