David Jurásek Transfer from Benfica to TSG Hoffenheim
Benfica announced this Monday that it has loaned the Czech defender David Jurásek to Hoffenheim, which will have an option to purchase the player.
David Jurásek is preparing to be loaned again to Hoffenheim. The possibility of a future reintegration into Benfica's squad seems unrealistic.
David Jurásek is moving on loan to Hoffenheim.
David Jurásek will be loaned out to Hoffenheim for the 2024/25 season.
Loan transfer with an option to buy at €10 million, plus bonuses. The loan deal is ready to be signed and expected to be completed in the next few days. Hoffenheim will cover his salary during the loan period.
David Jurásek will sign a new contract with Hoffenheim for a loan. The Czech left-back cost Benfica €14 million, did not assert himself last season at Luz and was loaned to the German club, for which he played 13 games (only four as a starter) and one assist. Hoffenheim wants to keep him, but insufficient to trigger the purchase clause of €11 million. Jurásek will therefore be loaned again and the German club plans to close the transfer before the start of Euro 2024.
The player will return to play on loan at Hoffenheim.
David Jurásek, left-back of Benfica, will spend another loan season in the Bundesliga, serving Hoffenheim. Benfica and Hoffenheim are preparing to sign an agreement for the 2024/25 season, with an option to buy at the end of the season. The deal is expected to be announced shortly and Benfica may pocket a sum for the loan of the 23-year-old player, who signed a contract with the Luz club in the summer of 2023 for 14 million euros. David Jurásek, remember, left Benfica in January and was loaned to Hoffenheim, where he was progressively gaining his space. The Germans showed interest in keeping the footballer, but not exercising the purchase option clause of €11 million.
Hoffenheim continues to show interest in David Jurásek and insists on a new loan of the Czech left-back. However, Benfica is interested in a definitive sale of the player, which cost €14 million. There is a purchase clause in the loan contract that Hoffenheim can exercise for €11 million, but the Germans are not willing to make this investment. Contacts between the parties are expected to continue, and Hoffenheim seeks to find a solution that satisfies Benfica, whose plans do not involve the reintegration of Jurásek.
David Jurásek, who was loaned to Hoffenheim in January, may continue to play for the German club in the next season. Hoffenheim has initiated contact with Benfica to discuss this possibility. However, Hoffenheim is not willing to honor the contract agreed upon in January, which includes a purchase option set at €11 million, plus additional fees based on objectives. The Germans are interested, but they are seeking new conditions and a request for another loan is on the table. Benfica, however, does not count on the footballer for the next season and is likely to be in the market looking for a left-back to join Álvaro Carreras. An amount less than €10 million may be more than enough to solve a problem for the SAD and at the same time benefit the player, who has little to gain, beyond the salary, in staying at Luz, where he will clearly continue to have little space. Hoffenheim is, therefore, in the field to know the Benfica position on the new formula for the David Jurásek process and the time, for now, is not an enemy of either party.
