Rodrygo Transfer from Real Madrid to Al Hilal
Al-Hilal, seeking to replace Neymar, made an audacious attempt to recruit Rodrygo by offering Real Madrid 300 million euros and proposing an annual salary of 140 million euros to the player. Despite these substantial offers, Rodrygo declined the advances. Real Madrid has set a release clause of 1 billion euros for Rodrygo. Al-Hilal plans to revisit this offer next summer.
AS reported that Al Hilal was interested in signing Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Neymar. The club had established contacts with Rodrygo's representatives, with the aim of persuading him by offering a prominent role both on and off the field. This included the possibility of him becoming an ambassador for the 2034 Saudi World Cup. Rodrygo, who has a contract with Real Madrid until June 2028 that includes a 1,000 million euro release clause, is currently valued at 100 million euros by Transfermarkt. The Saudi club was keen on making him a franchise player, similar to Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr and Benzema at Al Ittihad.
Al Hilal has made Rodrygo their priority to succeed Neymar, who has moved to Santos. The Saudi club has contacted to know the conditions and possibilities of a negotiation, despite it being considered improbable. They aim to offer him the status of star number 1 of the club and a role as an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup.
Al-Hilal is considering Rodrygo as a possible summer signing to replace Neymar, who had a woeful stint in Saudi Arabia. The club is reportedly targeting the Real Madrid forward as they prepare to cut their losses on Neymar's disappointing tenure. Alongside Rodrygo, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is also on Al-Hilal's radar as they look to revamp their squad.
