Raphinha Transfer from FC Barcelona to Al Hilal
Raphinha rejected huge offers from Al Hilal during the summer transfer window to stay at Barcelona.
Earlier it was reported that an 80 million euro offer for Raphinha had arrived at the Catalan club. It remains unknown which club made the offer, but it was speculated that all four major Saudi clubs, Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli, were willing to pay this amount.
According to multiple media sources in Spain, Al-Hilal offered 100 million euros to Barcelona for Raphinha during the summer. The Saudi club also put forth a salary offer of 25 million euros annually for the Brazilian player, but he declined the move without much hesitation.
Raphinha wanted to stay at Barcelona despite having very good offers to leave. Al-Hilal offered him a net salary of 25 million EUR per year for four years and 100 million EUR to Barcelona as a transfer fee. Barcelona was willing to accept the offer, but Raphinha refused, which quadrupled his potential income.
Raphinha had previously been linked with a move to Al Hilal.
Raphinha would need to leave FC Barcelona to make way for Luis Díaz. Al Hilal has shown interest in him.
Despite Raphinha's good season with Barcelona, the Catalan club continues to not rule out a possible sale of the player. Therefore, news of some potential interested parties starts to emerge from Spain, this time with a focus on Saudi Arabia. According to Mundo Deportivo, one of the four largest Saudi clubs (Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Ahli) is willing to pay very well for the services of the Brazilian international. A potential proposal from one of these clubs is seen with good eyes by the Catalans. The most difficult part will be to convince Raphinha himself. According to the mentioned media, the Brazilian winger has already rejected a proposal from Saudi Arabia as both he and his family are happy in Barcelona. For now, the former Sporting only thinks of leaving the Catalan club if he receives a good offer from a top Premier League club.
