Mikael Egill Ellertsson is a new player for Genoa, but for the second part of the season, he will remain on loan at Venezia, the team from which Genoa has purchased the Icelandic midfielder. According to the Lega Serie A website, Genoa has acquired the rights to the 2002-born player outright, leaving him on loan until the end of the season. In recent days, the player arrived in Genoa to undergo the ritual medical examinations and sign the contract with his new team.

Mikael Egill Ellertsson will join Genoa for 3.5 million euros but will arrive only in the summer after completing the season at Venezia. He will undergo medical examinations tomorrow morning alongside Jean Onana, who is set to join Genoa on loan with a purchase option from Besiktas.
