Haris Tabakovic has been signed by Hoffenheim from Hertha BSC. The transfer is confirmed.
Second division top scorer Haris Tabakovic (22 goals) will now play in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim (contract until 2027). Sports director Benjamin Weber mentioned that they actually did not want to let Haris go and would have liked to continue to rely on his qualities in the future, but considering their overall situation, they agreed to the transfer. Tabakovic reflected on having one of the best years of his career at Hertha, while also acknowledging that he did not want to miss the chance to play in the Bundesliga.
Kicker reported that there are concrete negotiations between TSG Hoffenheim and Second League top scorer Tabakovic. According to BILD information, the talks are very advanced, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the next few days. Hertha BSC attempted to extend Tabakovic's contract early by offering a salary increase, which he declined. Tabakovic is set to fulfill his lifelong dream of playing in the Bundesliga and will earn more than his current 60,000 to 70,000 EUR/month. Hertha needs to generate a transfer surplus of 10 million EUR, and a transfer fee between 3 to 5 million EUR is anticipated.
TSG Hoffenheim is strongly interested in signing Haris Tabakovic from Hertha BSC. Negotiations are reportedly well advanced. Tabakovic, a 30-year-old 1.94-meter-tall striker, is seen as a replacement for Wout Weghorst and Maximilian Beier, who have left the club. Tabakovic has a contract with Hertha BSC until 2026 and is valued at two to three million euros.
