SV Werder Bremen is interested in signing Mehmet Aydin from FC Schalke. He is currently available on a free transfer as there are no signs of a contract extension with Schalke. The 23-year-old, who has made 26 appearances this season playing on the right flank, is attracting interest from other clubs including Hamburger SV and Turkish teams Besiktas and Basaksehir. Aydin, capable of playing both in the right midfield and as a right-back, has accumulated 71 professional appearances for Schalke and is a former German U-national team player.
