River Plate already knows that Di María only considers returning to Argentina to play for Rosario Central. A director of the Buenos Aires club, according to the Argentine television channel TNT Sports, contacted someone from the world champion's close circle, to assess the possibility of contracting him. He even informed Di María of the financial proposal that River Plate was willing to make, if there was an opening to negotiate. But, according to TNT, the response was negative.
Di María's contract with Benfica ends on June 30, and he is considering a return to his home country's football.
