Kevin De Bruyne Transfer from Manchester City to River Plate

Argentine football club River Plate has been encouraged to pursue Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, whose contract will expire at the end of the season. Former River Plate striker Carlos Morete suggested that River Plate has the necessary leadership and intelligence to make such a move, speculating that perhaps the club had already reached out or the discussions had not been made public. Morete questioned why no one had traveled to Manchester to inquire about De Bruyne's availability. He mentioned that De Bruyne, at 33 years old, could be offered $20 million (£15.5 million / €18.5 million) since he would be available for free, and suggested that acquiring him could lead River Plate to championships and solve many of the club's issues. Morete recommended checking De Bruyne's physical condition and proposed making him an offer, emphasizing that De Bruyne could leave Manchester City without a transfer fee, and that paying him $20 million annually could bring him to River Plate.

Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City's Belgian midfielder, is a target for River Plate, but a move is unlikely due to better offers from other leagues. His contract is expiring, and he's interested in MLS, with San Diego leading, and the Saudi Pro League. De Bruyne's season has been affected by injuries and competition, limiting him to 30 matches with four goals and seven assists. Manchester City hasn't decided on a contract extension, making a free transfer in June plausible. Pep Guardiola regards him as exceptional, leaving his future in his and the club's hands.
