Blackburn Rovers had the chance to acquire Timothy Fosu-Mensah but reportedly decided against it due to concerns regarding his fitness. The Dutch defender, now a free agent following his departure from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, had been offered to several Championship clubs such as Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers, and Stoke City. Although he was interested in joining England's second tier, these clubs also opted not to sign him, mainly owing to doubts about his physical condition. Fosu-Mensah is currently training with Jong Ajax to enhance his fitness after facing injury challenges, including a major knee ligament injury during his tenure at Leverkusen that kept him out of action for nine months.
