Tim Skarke was convinced to stay at Union Berlin by Bo Svensson, despite being courted by other clubs in the summer. Svensson communicated openly and honestly with Skarke, proposing his vision and instilling confidence that his journey at Union Berlin was not yet complete.

Mainz 05 is working on signing Tim Skarke as a replacement for Brajan Gruda. The 27-year-old winger has returned to Union Berlin after a loan spell at Darmstadt 98. Union Berlin does not want to let the winger go and has therefore rejected Mainz's first offer of around two million euros. A final decision is expected on Wednesday, according to kicker information.
