Tajon Buchanan Transfer from Inter to Roma
Roma has expressed interest in Tajon Buchanan for the January market. According to Sky Sport, the two clubs are attempting to negotiate for Frattesi, a complex deal as Inter demands 40 million euros cash and is not interested in the proposed exchanges. During these discussions, Buchanan's name came up. An initial informal contact was made with the focus on other matters, but the topic could be explored further if Roma struggles to secure other targets.
Buchanan had limited playing time during his initial half-season in Italy and began this season with a setback due to a shinbone fracture. Although he is now fully fit, he only makes brief substitute appearances. Reports from Turkey suggest that he has been offered to Galatasaray, and a transfer to AS Roma is expected soon. Buchanan has participated in fourteen matches for Inter, totaling 279 minutes, with one goal scored and no assists provided. It is speculated that Inter may be looking to offload him without incurring a loss or might consider a loan to enhance his market value.
Tajon Buchanan is being considered as a right winger option by Roma's sporting director Ghisolfi. With Roma's transition to a three-man defense, they need a reliable alternative to Saelemaekers. Inter values Buchanan at approximately 10 million euros and is not open to a loan deal until June, according to La Repubblica. The negotiation is complex and currently on hold but might resume in the final stages of the transfer window.
Roma is interested in acquiring Tajon Buchanan from Inter Milan. Buchanan is a Canadian international, who joined Inter Milan from Club Brugge for 7.3 million euros. He is under contract until June 2028 and earns a net salary of 1.5 million euros per season. The interest was reported by Sky. Buchanan, born in 1999, has made 15 appearances for Inter, scoring once against Frosinone, with a total of 279 minutes played. He has started only once in the Coppa Italia match against Udinese at San Siro.
