Stipe Ukich, an 18-year-old young representative of New Zealand, has signed a contract with Istra until 2028. He is a highly talented young winger with Croatian roots. Despite his young age, Stipe has been playing at the senior level for a while and is a member of New Zealand's youth teams, as stated by Istra's sports director, Saša Bjelanović.
Stipe Ukich, born in New Zealand and of Croatian descent, is joining Istra 1961. He will turn 18 on January 3, the same day he joins the preparations of Istra 1961. Previously a member of Auckland City, Ukich debuted there at 16 and has played 31 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 1 assist. He is a member of the U20 New Zealand national team. Ukich had a trial with Lokomotiva, but the development fee required by Auckland City was an issue.
Stipe Ukich, a promising young left-wing forward, is reportedly set to join Istra 1961. Although the transfer has not been officially announced since Ukich has not yet reached the legal age, sources have disclosed that the deal is finalized. Ukich, who is of Croatian descent through his father and Thai through his mother, currently plays for Auckland City, the leading team in New Zealand's national league. At 17, he has already secured a starting position and has participated in the FIFA World Cup, where his team faced defeat against Al Ain. Additionally, there was interest in him from SHNL, Sarajevo, and various Australian clubs.
