Liverpool are racing against the clock to sign Argentine midfielder Santiago Hezze before the transfer deadline passes. Stephen Kountourou reported that Liverpool have identified Olympiakos' 22-year-old midfielder as a target to reinforce the defensive midfield position. Kountourou also added that things would be difficult to do this late in the window, as any signing would leave Olympiakos precious little time to scout for a replacement. The private jet which took Federico Chiesa from Turin to Liverpool so he could complete his move, then took Stefan Bajcetic to Salzburg for his move, is scheduled to fly to Athens on August 30, which is transfer deadline day.
