S. Niakaté Transfer from Sporting Braga to Liverpool
Liverpool have expressed interest in Sikou Niakate as a potential replacement for Ibrahima Konate. The club might be able to acquire him at a reasonable price due to his €30m (£25.5m) release clause. Niakate has previously been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City, West Ham United, Bologna, and Galatasaray. However, these were earlier attempts to sign him, and it remains uncertain if those clubs will compete with Liverpool for him in the future. Currently playing for Braga, Niakate is a 25-year-old left-footed centre-back recognized for his ball-playing abilities and his capability to advance play from defense. He has participated in all three UEFA competitions with Braga and has earned full international caps for Mali after switching his allegiance. Meanwhile, Liverpool's interest in Niakate arises amid uncertainty over Konate's future, as he has been identified as a target by PSG, with Konate reportedly being a fan of the club and having been born in Paris.
