Rafael Martins, an experienced forward who played for Santa Clara last season, has officially joined Leixões. Leixões announced the signing on Monday in a suggestive manner, referencing a 5.3 magnitude earthquake that occurred in mainland Portugal early Monday morning.

Rafael Martins will also strengthen the Matosinhos team, joining from Santa Clara. The official announcement is yet to be made.

Rafael Martins, a 35-year-old experienced Brazilian striker, played 34 matches and scored 5 goals last season for Santa Clara. He helped the team get promoted to the Liga.
