Patric Pfeiffer is set to play for 1. FC Magdeburg until the end of the season. The defender, who most recently played for Young Boys Bern, has been loaned from FC Augsburg. Pfeiffer had initially joined FC Augsburg after completing 80 second division games with SV Darmstadt 98, a team he helped get promoted to the Bundesliga. However, he struggled to adapt at FCA, partly due to injuries, and only participated in eleven Bundesliga matches. In the summer of 2024, he transferred to Young Boys Bern to gain significant playing time at a high level, but only featured in one Swiss Cup match and made a substitute appearance in the Champions League. The loan arrangement with Young Boys Bern was terminated early, and Pfeiffer is now preparing to restart his career in the 2nd division with 1. FC Magdeburg.
