Nicolás Otamendi is in the final year of his contract with Benfica and can freely sign with a new club from January 1st. There is public association of Otamendi with Inter Miami, but no confirmed negotiations.

Inter Miami is also interested in signing Otamendi. The transfer is complicated because Otamendi has one more year on his contract with Benfica.
