Nemanja Tosic, a 28-year-old Serbian defender, has joined Deportivo on loan from Zurich, with Deportivo having the option to purchase him in June. Tosic was brought in as a replacement for Escudero, who is set to undergo surgery for elbow issues. Prior to this, he played for FK Cukaricki and participated in the Conference League, amassing over 130 appearances in Serbia's top division. This season, Tosic has only started five times for Zurich. Deportivo's sporting director, Fernando Soriano, facilitated the signing to strengthen the team as the coach had requested.
