Monchu leaving Real Valladolid?
Monchu has decided to leave Spain and his current club, Real Valladolid, to sign with Aris Salonicco in Greece.
Aris Thessaloniki has announced the completion of the transfer of Monchu. The 24-year-old Spanish central midfielder arrived in Greece on August 2nd, underwent the necessary medical examinations, and signed a five-year contract with the Thessaloniki team. The transfer fee is quite substantial, making it the second most expensive transfer in Aris's history. Real Valladolid is expected to receive 3.6 million euros for the transfer.
The club has not confirmed the transfer yet. The transfer is pending details that will soon be finalized to leave Real Valladolid with a figure close to 3.5 million.
Monchu, a key player for Real Valladolid last season, is likely to leave the club. In a friendly match against Burgos, Monchu stayed on the bench the entire time, indicating the club's reluctance to risk an injury that could jeopardize a good financial deal. Coach Paulo Pezzolano mentioned that the situation was an 'institutional matter' and welcomed any decision Monchu makes.
