Mergim Berisha  Transfer from TSG Hoffenheim to SV Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen showed interest in acquiring Mergim Berisha, but FC Augsburg won the competition for his signature.

SV Werder Bremen has been concretely linked with Mergim Berisha. A loan with a purchase option is being discussed.

Werder Bremen are also interested in Hoffenheim's Mergim Berisha. A possible scenario for the transfer includes a loan deal for 1.5 years with an option to buy the former German international. This interest is reported alongside Leeds United's interest by Sky Sports journalist Ben Heckner.

Kicker reported on Mergim Berisha's current situation at Hoffenheim after his move from FC Augsburg. Since his transfer in the summer of 2023, Berisha has struggled to make an impact at Hoffenheim, both under the former coach Pellegrino Matarazzo and the current coach Christian Ilzer. The 26-year-old forward, who is contracted until 2027, has changed his management agency, which is now seeking a resolution. A loan deal appears to be the most probable outcome. There had been some informal contact with Bremen, but it did not lead to any concrete developments.

Mergim Berisha, a player from TSG Hoffenheim, has been granted permission to leave the club. Werder Bremen is one of the interested clubs and has had contact with the player and his advisors. However, the discussions have not been intensive, and there has been no exchange between the clubs to push for a transfer. Werder Bremen remains cautious about expanding their squad.

Werder Bremen is reportedly keen on acquiring Mergim Berisha, a 26-year-old forward who has played twice for the German national team, from TSG Hoffenheim. Austrian outlet 'Laola1' mentioned that Bremen is considering bringing Berisha on board during the winter transfer window. Berisha joined Hoffenheim in 2023 for 14 million Euros after transferring from FC Augsburg but has faced challenges settling in due to a cruciate ligament injury. The specifics of the transfer, whether it will be permanent or a loan, remain uncertain, though a loan might benefit all involved parties. According to 'Bild', Germany's largest daily newspaper, Bremen has expressed interest and is gathering information, but no agreement has been reached yet.

Mergim Berisha is set to leave TSG Hoffenheim in the winter and apparently join SV Werder Bremen. After a long injury break and suspension under former coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, Berisha struggled to regain his form. Under Christian Ilzer, he only played sporadically. At Werder Bremen, he will join fellow Austrians Romano Schmid, Marco Friedl, and Marco Grüll, adding to the competition in the offensive department of the "Grün-Weißen."
