Maxwel Cornet Transfer from West Ham United to Genoa
Genoa has signed Maxwell Cornet on a dry loan from West Ham without any purchase rights. Cornet arrived in Genoa at the Cristoforo Colombo airport and will undergo medical examinations before signing the contract. The decision to sign Cornet was influenced by injuries to Ekuban and Vitinha, as well as the gradual return of Messias and the uncertain situation of Balotelli.
Genoa has reached an agreement to sign Maxwel Cornet on loan from West Ham United. A verbal agreement is established for the winger to play under Genoa manager Patrick Vieira. The move allows West Ham to remove Cornet from their wage bill and presents him with a new opportunity following limited success in previous loan spells. Although Cornet has a career total of 99 goal or assist contributions, he faced challenges at West Ham, achieving only one goal and six assists in 38 appearances. During his recent loan to Southampton, he participated in just four matches, accumulating 187 minutes on the field. The loan to Genoa offers Cornet the chance to rejuvenate his career under Vieira, with the possibility of a permanent transfer if he performs well.
