Mauricio Benitez Transfer from Boca Juniors to Club Brugge
Club Brugge has expressed interest in signing Mauricio Benitez with the intention of intercepting the deal from Royal Antwerp FC. It is noted that Club Brugge possesses greater financial resources, which may enable them to secure a permanent transfer instead of a loan agreement. The two Belgian clubs are reportedly vying for Benitez's signature in the upcoming winter transfer window, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. The 20-year-old midfielder, currently part of Boca Juniors, is regarded as a promising talent, though he is yet to make a breakthrough into the first team. Benitez, who mainly features for Boca's B team, is contracted until 2028 and has a market value of 400,000 euros. While Antwerp is contemplating a loan deal, their favorable relationship with Boca Juniors, underscored by recent transactions involving Ayrton Costa, might benefit them. Nonetheless, Club Brugge's superior financial position could facilitate a direct acquisition. The Argentine midfielder appears to be open to a move to Belgium, creating a competitive scenario between the two clubs.
