Mateo Tanlongo was initially intended to be loaned to Racing Santander by Sporting last summer. However, he did not join Racing and signed with Copenhaga instead. Racing Santander claimed they had an agreement and took legal action. A superior court in Cantabria ruled in favor of Racing Santander, ordering Tanlongo to pay a €1 million indemnity.
