Matej Mitrović has left Rijeka and signed with Qatari club Al Ahli as a free agent. He has signed a one-year contract with the club.

Matej Mitrović will continue his football career in Qatar. After two years at Rijeka, Mitrović left the club as a free agent at the end of his contract and has now agreed to a collaboration with Al Ahli, which is recently managed by Igor Bišćan. Last season, Mitrović was one of the best defenders in the HNL, reminding of his best days in some matches. Although he was linked with Dinamo for a while, he ultimately accepted the invitation from the former Dinamo coach and took his talents to Qatar. Mitrović has signed a one-year contract with his new club, Al Ahli.
