The deal that brought Luís Felipe from Palmeiras to Benfica in the summer of 2014 allegedly led the reds to pay three million euros more than was supposed. The player was transferred from Palmeiras to Vitória da Baía for 570 thousand euros, on June 27, 2014, with Benfica, four days later, paying 1.8 million euros for half of the pass. DCIAP believes that the player was overvalued, in order to promote more money leaving the SAD's coffers for still unknown purposes. Luís Felipe never wore the Benfica shirt in official games and, in 2017/18, he terminated and signed for Vitória de Setúbal.
