FC Augsburg has pulled the purchase option for Kristijan Jakic. The midfielder, who initially switched to the Fuggerstädtern on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt in the winter, signed a contract in Augsburg until 2028. The 27-year-old had immediately established himself as a regular player at FCA and was used 14 times in the second half of the season.
FC Augsburg has until the end of this week to exercise the purchase option for Kristijan Jakic for five million euros. The trend is clearly in the direction that the Croatian midfielder will not return to his parent club Eintracht Frankfurt and will stay in Augsburg.
Augsburg will buy out Jakić's contract at the end of the season. The German first division club will activate the buyout clause and pay Eintracht 5.5 million euros.
