Kauã Elias has been confirmed as a new signing for Shakhtar Donetsk from Fluminense, with the transfer fee reported to be 17 million euros. Fluminense will retain 10% of the player's rights. Elias, who was part of the Fluminense team that won the Conmebol Libertadores in 2023 and the Conmebol Recopa in 2024, has signed a four-year contract with Shakhtar, which will keep him at the club until December 2029. This transfer makes him the eighth Brazilian player in the Shakhtar squad and represents the third largest transfer in the club's history, after Bernard's transfer for 25 million euros in 2013 and Pedrinho's for 18 million euros in 2021.
