Journalist Viktor Vatsko has reported that Shakhtar is currently not close to securing a deal for West Ham winger Luis Guilherme. The Ukrainian club has indicated that the financial demands from the player and his agents are exceedingly high for a move to Ukraine, and Shakhtar is not prepared to accommodate these terms. The club's management is concerned about maintaining wage parity within the team, including among its leaders, and does not want one player to earn substantially more than others. Previously, there were reports that Shakhtar was willing to fulfill West Ham's demands, which involve a transfer fee of approximately 20 million euros for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder. Nonetheless, there remains a possibility for the Brazilian to join in the summer.
