Jeffrey Schlupp Transfer from Crystal Palace to Blackburn Rovers
Jeffrey Schlupp might be heading to Blackburn Rovers on loan, with a permanent departure possibly on the horizon. Schlupp, aged 32, appears to match the criteria that Rovers' manager John Eustace is seeking for his team. Although the former Leicester City left-winger is not part of the starting line-up for Palace, manager Glasner has been using him as a substitute. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Schlupp might be seeking some stability. Blackburn is also considering a move for free agent Ryan Kent for the same position, but Schlupp's ability to play as a left-back as well makes him particularly appealing. Schlupp's departure might facilitate Palace's attempt to sign Senegalese left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf. The Eagles are interested in the Slavia Prague defender, who would be an ideal backup for Tyrick Mitchell. However, Prague's demand for £20 million is beyond what Palace is willing to spend.
