Manchester United are reportedly considering reigniting their pursuit of Ivan Toney now that Ruben Amorim is in charge. Toney had previously been on United's radar, but Erik ten Hag had vetoed his signing. There is speculation that Manchester United might act on this interest by summer or January 2026. Toney, who had established himself as a prolific striker by scoring 20 goals in 33 Premier League matches for Brentford during the 2022-23 season, moved to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia after United opted to sign Joshua Zirkzee instead. Al-Ahli paid £40 million for Toney, but it remains unclear how much they would demand to sell him. United, still in the market for a new No 9 to support Rasmus Hojlund, view Toney as a potential solution given his impressive record of 173 goals from 428 career appearances.
