Harry Maguire Transfer from Manchester United to Galatasaray

The contract situation of Harry Maguire at Manchester United has drawn attention from several clubs. 'The Athletic' reported that Leicester City, SSC Napoli, and the two Istanbul clubs, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, are keeping a close watch on the center-back's situation. Maguire's contract with the Red Devils is set to expire at the end of the current season. Starting January 1st, he will be able to negotiate with foreign clubs without needing Manchester United's consent. However, the club has an option to automatically extend his contract until 2026. Additionally, Maguire mentioned that discussions with his current employer regarding a long-term extension are ongoing.

Turkish rivals Galatasaray are also thought to be interested in Maguire. Maguire, who will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign side from 1 January 2025, is among the targets of Galatasaray as they look to strengthen their squad. With Maguire entering the final six months of his contract at Manchester United, Galatasaray, alongside other clubs, could potentially secure his services without a transfer fee if United do not trigger the extension clause in his contract.
