Filip Bednarek: Lech Poznań Contract Extension
Filip Bednarek is expected to depart from Lech Poznań following the conclusion of the current season. It is anticipated that his contract, which runs until June 30, 2025, will not be renewed. Bednarek became part of Lech Poznań in July 2020 after his tenure in the Netherlands with clubs including FC Twente, FC Utrecht, and De Graafschap. He established himself as a regular starter and contributed to the team's victory in the Polish championship, an achievement that secured him a contract extension until 2025. Nevertheless, after a defeat against Spartak Trnawa in the Europa Conference League qualifiers in August last year, he was succeeded by Bartosz Mrozek as the primary goalkeeper. Bednarek concluded the previous season with a mere nine appearances and has participated in only one match during the current season's autumn round.
