Newcastle has made enquiries for Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba as an alternative to Marc Guehi.

Newcastle United are in dialogue with Bayer Leverkusen over Edmond Tapsoba. Tapsoba was a target for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur last summer. He stayed at Leverkusen and played a major role in their Bundesliga-winning campaign.

Edmond Tapsoba is one of the players wanted by clubs from Saudi Arabia. However, the German club will not allow this transfer.
