Arthur Cabral Transfer from Benfica to West Ham United

West Ham showed interest in Arthur Cabral and approached Benfica in the last few days, but did not proceed with a concrete offer.

Arthur Cabral is set to leave Benfica and sign with West Ham. The transfer operation amounts to 18 million euros, plus an additional 2 million euros, totaling 20 million euros. Benfica was approached a few days ago by Atlanta United, an MLS franchise, which offered 16 million euros for the Brazilian striker, but he will continue his career in the Premier League.

West Ham United is interested in acquiring Arthur Cabral, as reported by the Portuguese newspaper Record. Cabral is considered a candidate to replace Michail Antonio, who is unavailable. West Ham reportedly made an offer of approximately 20 million euros to Benfica, where Cabral is under contract until mid-2028. Record suggests the offer may be accepted by Benfica, although The Daily Mirror contradicts this, stating there is no agreement yet and Cabral is not certain to join West Ham.

West Ham submitted an offer to Benfica to acquire Arthur Cabral on loan with an option to buy, but Benfica turned down the proposal. It was reported that Benfica is only open to a permanent transfer or a loan with a mandatory purchase clause at the end of the season, for amounts that would allow them to recover their investment. Arthur Cabral was signed by Benfica from Fiorentina in the summer of 2023 for €20 million, and they are open to considering a proposal of approximately €15 million, which would allow them to participate in the market to find a replacement.
