Zaid Romero leaving Club Brugge?
Zaid Romero might leave Club Brugge if he doesn't settle in. The club may consider selling him.
A winter transfer to Gremio was strongly mentioned, but Club Brugge reportedly wants to keep Zaid Romero as a backup option for Nicky Hayen.
Zaid Romero, who transferred to Club Brugge for approximately 6 million euros from Estudiantes de La Plata, has been unable to secure a regular spot in the team, having played only eight matches so far, mostly in the cup competitions. His last appearance in the league was in early October, and he has not yet participated in the Champions League. Facing strong competition from Brandon Mechele, Joel Ordoñez, and Jorne Spileers, there is speculation about his potential departure. The Argentine defender, who first gained recognition at Godoy Cruz, is reportedly drawing interest from Gremio, a well-established club in Brazil. According to club watcher Diego Torbes, it remains uncertain whether Gremio is seeking a permanent transfer or a loan deal.
