Y. Fofana Transfer from Monaco to Arsenal

Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Youssouf Fofana as they look to strengthen their engine room. No concrete approach has materialised yet.

Youssouf Fofana is '100 per cent leaving' Monaco this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. Speculation surrounding the France midfielder has been rampant for 12 months. Courted by English clubs last summer, Fofana eventually decided to remain in Ligue 1, but the links to clubs abroad never disappeared. Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro has admitted that they are looking to sell Fofana this summer, while the player recently stated that he has an agreement with the Principality side to facilitate a move. Now, Fabrizio Romano has chimed in. Speaking to CaughtOffside, the Italian transfer expert guaranteed that Fofana would be on the move in the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal have been sending their scouts multiple times to follow him in the recent months and years at Monaco, so let's see if Arsenal will decide to go for Fofana.

Arsenal is one of the English clubs interested in Fofana.

Arsenal has expressed interest in Youssouf Fofana and has contacted his representatives and Monaco for potential transfer. Fofana has only 12 months of contract left with Monaco, which is open to selling him.

Arsenal have been named among a group of top European clubs reported to have held early talks with representatives of Monaco and France midfielder Youssouf Fofana. Fofana is believed to be on course to leave Monaco in pursuit of bigger things. He only has one more year left on his contract and Monaco seem resigned to selling now while they can still command a transfer fee, rather than let him down his deal into free agency.

Arsenal, a top-level club, is also interested in Youssouf Fofana from Monaco.

Youssouf Fofana has emerged as a possible summer signing for Arsenal. However, Fabrizio Romano has downplayed rumours that Arsenal are currently pushing to sign the France international. Fofana will decide his future in the summer, not now. So nothing concrete is happening at the moment.

Yousssouf Fofana, defensive midfielder of Monaco and the French national team, has been in Milan's sights as a potential reinforcement for next season. According to Footmercato, however, the Rossoneri club will have to watch out for competition from Atletico Madrid, PSG, and Arsenal.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Monaco and France midfielder Youssouf Fofana. Mikel Arteta's side are looking to strengthen the central midfield position, despite the excellence of Declan Rice this season. A summer addition is needed and a box-to-box midfielder of Fofana's ilk would work perfectly alongside Rice and Martin Odegaard.
