Newcastle United have accepted a bid from Lyon which could reach £40 million for Yankuba Minteh. However, Minteh is refusing to join Lyon because he wants to stay in the Premier League.

Lyon is interested in Yankuba Minteh and has reportedly offered 40 million euros. Newcastle prefers to sell him to Lyon rather than Everton due to financial fair play considerations.

Olympique Lyonnais reportedly made an offer of 47 million EUR to acquire Yankuba Minteh. However, Minteh refused to discuss with Lyon, preferring to continue his career in the Premier League.

Newcastle and Lyon have agreed a fee of around £40m for a transfer they want to complete this week. However, Minteh has declined to discuss personal terms with Lyon as the 19-year-old wants to stay in the Premier League.

Everton refused to meet Newcastle's valuation of Yankuba Minteh. He is now thought to be nearing a move to Lyon.
