Yalçın Kayan Transfer from Göztepe to Eyüpspor
Eyüpspor signed Yalçın Kayan from Göztepe on a 3.5-year contract. The club's Vice President, Fatih Kulaksız, mentioned that they initiated contact approximately a month ago, recognizing Kayan's potential as a player they were familiar with from Göztepe. The transfer aligns with the club's policy of prioritizing local players and is seen as an important acquisition for the team. Kayan expressed his excitement about joining Eyüpspor and working with coach Arda Turan.
Yalçın Kayan, who was left out of the squad at Göztepe following an incident with coach Stanimir Stoilov, has reportedly reached an agreement with Eyüpspor. The player had been unable to participate in the second week of the Trendyol Süper Lig against Fenerbahçe and had left for the locker room in frustration, leading to his sidelining for the remainder of the first half of the season. The 25-year-old midfielder, who has played just 64 minutes this season, has been part of Göztepe since 2018, making 144 appearances and scoring 13 goals. It is anticipated that the transfer will be announced in the coming days, ahead of the transfer window opening on January 13.
