Panathinaikos showed interest in Xherdan Shaqiri after he became a free agent following his contract termination with Chicago Fire. The Greek club inquired about the financial terms for the 32-year-old player.

Xherdan Shaqiri has mutually terminated his contract with Chicago Fire after two and a half years and 75 appearances. Panathinaikos is reportedly interested in signing him.

Panathinaikos has presented an offer to Xherdan Shaqiri, whose contract with Chicago Fire expires on June 30, 2024. Shaqiri, however, is not convinced by the project and prefers other leagues over the Greek one.
