Fofana mentioned that he had a conversation that deeply affected him and admitted that he seriously considered the offer. He explained that the conversation was with Mehdi Benatia, Marseille’s sporting director. Nonetheless, he ultimately chose to remain at Chelsea to strive for regular play and establish himself.
