Liverpool could replace Trent Alexander-Arnold with Flamengo's 21-year-old full-back Wesley, but will have to stump up an offer higher than the €25m already turned down from Zenit Saint Petersburg. (Coluna Do Fla - Brazil)
Liverpool have identified Flamengo’s right-back Wesley as a strong candidate to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold. Officials from Anfield have reportedly initiated the first informal steps to secure his signing. The transfer is anticipated to cost Liverpool approximately £25m (€30m, $31.6m). Wesley, whose full name is Wesley Vinicius Franca Lima, has been under the observation of Liverpool scouts for about a year, positioning him as a key target for the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old, who has made 113 appearances for Flamengo, is expected to be called up for the Brazil national team for the upcoming March internationals. Flamengo manager, and former Chelsea left-back, Filipe Luis, has expressed high regard for Wesley's potential, suggesting that he has no limitations and is exceptional.
