Wendell Transfer from Porto to São Paulo
Wendell, a Brazilian defender in his final contract year with FC Porto, is attracting interest from Brazilian clubs, notably São Paulo. São Paulo's president, Julio Casares, confirmed their admiration for Wendell and noted his interest in joining the club. However, no agreement has been reached, and Wendell may consider offers from European clubs. Conversations are ongoing but not yet at a proposal stage, and Wendell needs to discuss it with his family.
Julio Casares, the president of São Paulo, is interested in signing Wendell from Porto to fill the left-back position. Casares has a good relationship with Wendell, which he hopes to leverage for the transfer. While discussions are ongoing, no formal proposal has been made yet.
Wendell, a Brazilian left-back, is nearing the end of his contract with FC Porto, having played only 47 minutes this season. São Paulo has been interested in him for some time, and Wendell is open to returning to Brazil, ten years after leaving Grêmio for Bayer Leverkusen. The transfer could happen for free in the summer unless an agreement is reached in January.
Wendell, who is currently with FC Porto and has only played 22 minutes in the 3rd round match against Rio Ave in the league, might once again attract interest from São Paulo. Although he turned down São Paulo in the summer, 'Bola Vip' reports that the Brazilian club is confident they can secure the left-back in January for approximately €4 million. The potential deal could be made easier by FC Porto's interest in São Paulo's right-back, João Moreira.
