Cruzeiro and Internacional are in discussions to finalize the transfer of forward Wanderson to Cruzeiro. The deal is being facilitated by a debt that Internacional owes Cruzeiro for the earlier purchase of Wesley. In exchange for Wanderson, Cruzeiro is set to forgive this debt. Wanderson's contract with Internacional is set to expire in December 2025. Additionally, as part of the agreement, Cruzeiro will loan a youth player to Internacional, although the player Japa has been excluded from this arrangement. The negotiation has been confirmed by ESPN and was elaborated upon by Pedro Lourenço, the owner of the Cruzeiro SAF, during an interview. He indicated that the approval of the Cruzeiro coach is necessary for the deal, as the coach is seeking a winger, and they anticipate Wanderson joining the club soon. At 30 years old, Wanderson has managed to score just one goal and provide one assist in nine appearances for Internacional this season, having fallen out of favor under coach Roger Machado.
