Kovačević had initially joined Sporting for a base fee of 4.8 million euros and additional bonuses of 1.2 million euros. After losing his starting position due to an ankle injury and the arrival of Rui Silva, he began seeking a new club. Legia Warsaw is actively working to secure the goalkeeper, focusing discussions on a loan deal that includes a potential purchase option. The club aims to finalize the transfer promptly to make necessary squad adjustments for the Conference League by February 6.
