Vitor Reis Transfer from Palmeiras to Brighton & Hove Albion

TBR Football reported that Brighton had opened talks with Palmeiras about a deal for Vitor Reis, indicating negotiations are underway.

Brighton has made a third offer for Vitor Reis, a defender from Palmeiras. The new proposal from the English club is reportedly valued at 23.5 million pounds, which is nearly R$ 180 million. Despite the substantial offer, Palmeiras remains firm in their decision not to sell Vitor Reis during this winter transfer window, as they intend to keep him for the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA later in the year. Previously, Palmeiras turned down an offer of 25 million euros for Vitor Reis on December 16. The only circumstance under which Palmeiras would reconsider their position is if they receive a proposal similar to the one for Estêvão, who was transferred to Chelsea for up to 61.5 million euros.

Brighton has expressed interest in acquiring Vitor Reis during the current transfer window, reportedly offering approximately 25 million euros (around R$ 160 million). However, Palmeiras is being firm in their stance and indicated they will only consider negotiations after the Club World Cup unless they receive a proposal similar to the 'Estêvão level,' which could potentially reach up to 61.5 million euros, including fixed and variable amounts contingent on targets being met. Vitor Reis, who is 18 years old, is considered one of Palmeiras' most promising young talents, having been promoted to the professional team this year. He participated in 22 matches in 2024 and scored two goals. Despite the interest from European clubs, such as Arsenal and Real Madrid, who have been monitoring him, his contract with Palmeiras is valid until 2028, with a release clause set at 100 million euros (approximately R$ 638 million).
