Brazilian club Flamengo is contemplating the signing of 21-year-old right back Vinicius Tobias from Shakhtar Donetsk. Journalist Mateus Leal has indicated that Flamengo, often referred to as the 'vultures', is searching for a replacement for their prominent right-back Wesley, who is anticipated to be sold in the summer. Vinicius Tobias is held in high esteem by Flamengo's technical director Jose Boto, who has a history of working as the head of scouting at Shakhtar Donetsk. Boto regards Tobias as a 'number 10 player playing on the flank'. Tobias is under contract with Shakhtar until the summer of 2029, with his market value estimated at 3 million euros on Transfermarkt. Furthermore, it has been reported earlier that Vinicius Tobias has acquired Spanish citizenship.
