Vasile Mogoș is set to sign with Universitatea Craiova as a free agent. An agreement has been reached between Universitatea Craiova and CFR Cluj, with the condition that Mogoș will not play in direct matches between the two teams. He played 15 matches for CFR Cluj this season but is not in the plans of coach Dan Petrescu. He previously signed with CFR Cluj in the summer of 2023, when the club paid Crotone 45,000 euros for his transfer.

Mogoș had previously been sidelined by Dan Petrescu for the second part of the season at CFR Cluj, which has made him available for transfer. Earlier in the winter transfer window, Dinamo had also shown interest in Mogoș, but discussions fell through as the player was said to have expressed a desire to sign abroad. However, the Romanian international, who was part of the EURO 2024 squad, is now believed to be close to securing a move to another Superligă team.
