V. Rongier leaving Olympique Marseille?
Roberto De Zerbi, the coach of Olympique de Marseille, mentioned in a press conference that he does not intend to recruit new players in the winter transfer window and emphasized that important players like Valentin Rongier should not leave the club. He mentioned that sometimes strengthening the team might involve selling players to buy others more functional to their system, but it's not the right time for that.
Stade Rennais is keen on signing midfielder Valentin Rongier to bolster their midfield lineup this winter. Despite having their initial offer turned down by Olympique de Marseille, the Breton club remains persistent in their pursuit of the player. Daniel Riolo mentioned that the Rennes management is prepared to present a substantial offer, although Marseille appears reluctant to consider any proposals. An exceptional bid would be necessary to alter Marseille's position, particularly after Rongier's impressive showing against Le Havre.
Rennes expressed interest in acquiring Valentin Rongier, who is under contract with Olympique de Marseille until 2026. However, RMC Sport reports that Olympique de Marseille has closed the door on any departure for Rongier, as he has become an important player for Roberto De Zerbi.
